Sad to witness such limited ambition, or courage, to confront the greatest challenge of humankind history...it resembles treating a sepsis with paracetamol and claiming to be treating the patient... Not even reaching the Paris $100Bn committments (yet that means 0.15% of the world's GDP..., 20 times less than expenditure in arms), with marginal agreements on methane, coal and forests only by some and with collective committments that, even if umprecentedly are complied with, lead to catastrophic warming already this decade...
I am always intrigued why no one talks aout individual and collective CO2 emissions above an ETHICAL THRESHOLD for every one, regardless wealth or power. estimates are of some 1Tn per person and year but the SDG 2030 agenda ignores it, the COP26 also ignores it and most of us keep living without even knowing nor the damage we leave for our children... as well as the estimated effects of the present trend and committments in intergenerational inequity and loss of life years and excess mortality related to excess emmissions above the threshold... Excuse me, readers, ir any, my tragic tone, I am devastated by the complacency over such impending catastrophe affecting mainly the poor and less pollutant...
