Trump unmasks US greed

 https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/

Trump is leading the United States to become a country that prioritizes dollars and weapons, shedding all sensitivity and global action for human and planetary health. At the very least, the United States is now removing the masks that once dressed up its rhetoric of freedom and peace, like those in Biden's farewell speeches. We are entering a new phase of history where the commitment to the common good must be reinvented through a strategy that confronts global dictatorship in its military-nuclear form (Trump), technological-manipulative form (Musk), and financial-speculative form (Fink).

These three figures, united by their trillion-dollar egos, represent a threat to the hope of a humanity striving for harmony among peoples and with nature. The West hides in the shadow of Washington, remaining silent in the face of genocides like Gaza and supporting anachronistic oligarchies like the UN Security Council. The credibility of the West, which defeated Nazism 80 years ago and championed the discourse of the United Nations, universal rights, redistributive justice, and a commitment to peace, has been reduced to nothing more than empty rhetoric.

More than ever, we must resist globalized consumption that alienates and destroys, the speculative financial systems—both public and private—that concentrate power in the hands of the few, and the wars driven by the pursuit of control over natural resources. It is time to imagine, with greater courage, a world without barbed-wire borders, without the hoarding of resources by the few, and without religious, ideological, or patriotic “isms” that divide. A world where all of humanity can live in harmony with nature, with local sovereignty over essentials, and global collaboration in creating common good
